About the event
This is a one-day level 3 course.
The qualification includes the duties of a first aider and how to evaluate an incident; first aid techniques in CPR and the use of an AED; administering first aid to someone who is choking; and managing external bleeding and hypovolaemic shock.
This is a certificated course and the awarding body is Highfield. The cost is £10 (+ £1.55 fee) unwaged or £50 (+ £4.88 fee) waged. It is essential to bring photo ID on the day - your passport, driving licence etc. There is a short multiple choice test at the end.
