About the event
This is a Level 3 qualification delivered over one full day.
The course covers the role and responsibilities of a first aider, including how to assess an emergency situation. Learners will be taught essential first aid skills such as CPR and the safe use of an AED, how to assist someone who is choking, and how to control severe bleeding and respond to hypovolaemic shock.
On successful completion, participants will receive a certificate issued by Highfield, the awarding body. The course fee is £10 (+ £1.55 booking fee) for unwaged learners or £50 (+ £4.88 booking fee) for waged learners. Attendees must bring valid photo identification on the day, such as a passport or driving licence. There is a short multiple choice test at the end.
