Digital skills

Besson Street Trust offers free IT training to the local community, covering Microsoft Office, computer skills, job search support and accredited courses.

Our Digital Skills programme provides training in Microsoft Excel and Word, in addition to broader support around using a computer, tablet or mobile phone. We also offer support looking for and applying for jobs. Training is delivered both virtually and from New Cross Learning, 283 - 285 New Cross Rd, London.

Monday, 9.30-13.30

Drop in for an assessment of the help you require.

Note: This takes place at New Cross Learning. Term time only.

Monday, 15.00-17.00

Following an assessment you will be able to access more structured lessons covering topics such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, File Management and safe searching the internet. These courses will be accredited by the Prince’s Trust eDigital Competence Certificate (EDCC).

We are registered as an online centre, and through this, can provide access to ‘Learn my Way‘. Learn my way is an online platform which provides help in using the internet, learning how to use key Microsoft packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and even how to access health resources online or register for universal credit.

Please contact sezin.hussein@bessonstreet.org.uk to register with our centre number, to enroll for online sessions or with any other enquiries.
