We’ve just been awarded £5,700 from Earnest Cook Trust to support our environmental learning sessions for local primary schools for a full year.
On Wednesday and Thursday mornings we have primary school classes coming to Besson Street Community Garden for a half day session learning about ‘Trees, leaves, birds and bees’. These sessions provide curriculum enhancing environmental learning around a wide variety of environment related topics including: bio-diversity, food growing, recycling, habitats, life cycles and all aspects of bees and bee-keeping. It is a fantastic resource in a very urban local environment. Primary schools benefiting from this service include Childeric, John Donne, Hatcham Temple Grove, Waller, Rye Oak and Camelot.
Thank you Earnest Cook for this fantastic contribution to our services.
