Besson Street Covid Vaccination Success

A hydrangea at Besson Street Garden - Home of New Cross Gate Trust

Our pop-up Covid vaccination clinic at Besson Street Community Garden on May 21 was, by all accounts, an astounding success.

New Cross Gate Trust worked in league with the NHS, local doctors, Lewisham Homes and Lewisham Public Health to run the clinic.

More than 150 local people – mainly aged between 40 and 80 years old – were vaccinated.

Alongside the vaccination, people got the chance to get blood pressure, height and weight and diabetes checks. With plenty of tea, coffee, cake and a small plant to take away to all taking part.

Be safe, get the jab!
