Besson Street Development: Community Drop-In Event

Lewisham Council and Grainger plc are holding a community drop-in event about proposed changes to the approved development at the long-derelict Besson Street site in New Cross Gate.

The scheme already has detailed planning consent for up to 324 professionally managed homes for rent, including a significant proportion of genuinely affordable homes linked to local incomes. The development also includes proposals for a new GP surgery, pharmacy, and community and additional space for Besson Street Trust, alongside a new, publicly accessible open space.

The current event relates to proposed amendments to the consented scheme. Local residents are invited to view the revised plans, speak with the project team, and provide feedback.
